Personality: Ushio has become a very silent man, tending to stand away from everyone else and be by himself. Whether this is because of his aura or because he's always been a rather quiet, secretive boy is uncertain, but one thing is definite. He is not the boy that he was less than a year ago. Until he came to the pinnacle of his studies, he was a kind boy even if he was quiet, and would always give a little smile to those who asked him and tried to give a little bit of his time to help other people even if he wasn't good around them. Now.... he's changed. God's, it is said, are omnibenevolent. They have clearly never met one of the Ullr line. Those who become the new god of frost always change into complete loners. Those who will willingly spend entire days away from civilization just because they want to enjoy the cold, the quiet, the blissful moments of separation from the rest of the world before the heat comes and stirs things up. But, that's not the worst of it. Where there was once tenderness, there is now sadism and cruelty. He became a bounty hunter not out of need for the money, but out of love for violence and the power that it gives him over others.

It is often said that people can be cold, and that's perfectly ironic for Ushio as he is cold on every single level. He never panics, he never seems scared or emotional, he will do what he does without a smile and without a moment of remorse, snapping wrists and necks alike to get what he wants out of life. There is no pity in his soul, no sign of empathy with what he views as the lesser race of humans. He no longer sees himself as a human, no... he has ascended to the position of the god of the frozen wastes, so he sees himself as one of the gods and only his fellow ascended can hope to stand on par with him.

Likes:

• Bounty Hunting: Having taken to his new profession like a duck to water, Ushio is unbelievably good at his job and he enjoys every moment of it. The rush of pleasure as he rips his opponent apart and hears the crunch of their bones, the cries and moans from the wounded party, and of course being paid.
  
• Beauty: Even before he became corrupted by being possessed, Ushio has always loved beautiful things. He can spend five minutes just sitting and looking at the beauty of a dead flower and seem lost to the rest of the world.
  
• Cold: Well, what do you expect from the frost god's avatar? He loves the cold, and has a habit of wearing metal armor over a nigh-bare chest just so he can feel the affects of being frozen all the more acutely.
  
• Death: Perhaps a little morbid (or a lot morbid), the new Ushio is fascinated by death. The ending of one thing and the start of another. After all, he knows first hand that gods exist, so there has to be at least something out there. If there isn't, he will make it himself after the cull.
  
• Quiet: A time when he can just sit and listen to the falling of the snow around him, a time when he can avoid the irritation of others and more than that, avoid having to have to deal with people; Silence is one of his favorite things as it allows him to truly reflect on the way that the world is.
  

Dislikes:

• Portgas D Ace: Not only is he the fire god slayer but he's also the leader of Fairy Tail, this man has the full force of Ushio's contempt and will one day be one of Ushio's victims in the cull, especially if he's killed Agnes by that time.
  
• Fairy Tail members: Having once been their brother and ally, Ushio has a buried love for the members of Fairy Tail. However, because he was corrupted by Aegaeon, he is going to have to kill any of them that get in his way, and in so doing kill a bit of himself every time he does. After the amount of pain he's had to go through, he hates running into them.
  
• Other Gods: Since the dawn of the world, the gods have always been competing to see who is stronger. Every so often there has been an attempt to cull off their competitors, and that is exactly what Ushio is doing. Having recently been elevated to godhood, he wants to slaughter every last other god until he's known as the strongest.
  
• Loud Noises: Due to his love of silence, he dislikes loud noises, but it's more than that. It has become the case that loud noises tends to be the herald of an incoming lot of trouble. Having to deal with a lot of annoyances since he got back, he's become a little paranoid so whenever he hears loud noises he tends to assume something bad is about to happen.
  
• Warmth: "When the sun rises, the frost will thaw and the world will once again forget the cold." Like the old prophecy says, he dislikes warmth because it's the complete antithesis of the cold that he needs to live. It seems to exist just to spite him and his predecessor gods, and it is often the case that he will just go sit in a ice-cellar during hot days.

Hair: Dark grey, medium length natural hair. Due to his habit of sleeping on the street or in a stranger's bed, it tends to have a lot of knots and can even have twigs in it.

General Appearance: Ushio was once a slightly cute young adult with medium length black hair, bright red eyes and a smile on his face. However, that was before his fusion with his 'father', the god of frost, Ullr. Since the fusion his appearance has changed massively. Where his hair was once black it is now a dark grey, akin to frozen mud or something similar. His eyes have changed to slate blue, and seem to be frozen. On top of that, he constantly gives out a cold aura, which is to blame for the constant death of nature that surrounds him. Whilst it doesn't kill humans, it is very easy to notice around him. It feels like being outside on a cold winter's day without a coat on. This causes those who don't really want a lot to do with him to avoid him at all costs, and makes those who don't have at least some resistance to the cold, whether it be from their magic or from the country of their upbringing dislike his company.

His clothes are probably the closest to how he was before the fusion. Wearing a very thin black t-shirt underneath a piece of body armor that encapsulates his entire chest, he is almost constantly wearing battle armor. On top of that he wears a long-coat with a starched collar, going up to his chin but fluttering loose in the breeze. Whilst he enjoys the cold, he still continues to wear this outfit. When asked why, he generally claims that it's because it's the only gift he was ever given... although that's not quite true. In fact, if asked why, he'll generally turn the idiot who asked into a block of ice for being too near him and bothering him with stupid questions.

Type: Ushio is a martial-artist with a flair for the minimalistic. A single punch that can kill a man, in his mind, is better than a whole light show that will stub someone's toe. But, at the same time, he is extremely sadistic and, if fighting for pleasure, will go out of his way to torture the other person to death by targeting each of their pressure points in turn.


History: There are only ever twenty truly special people at any one time in the world. Those are the dragon slayers and their superior relatives, the god slayers. As everyone knows, those who become god and dragon slayers become adopted by their 'father's or 'mother's at a very early age. However, how they become adopted is different in every generation and in every member of the twenty. They might be given up as a sacrifice to the god to try and make it peaceful and to stop it attacking a village, it might be found in the countryside abandoned by its parents, or a million other ways. The way that Ushio was to become the son of a god was a rather tragic incident. His mother and father were mages in a very secretive guild, one that had no official base due to them not being officially recognized by the legal guilds. They became spread out and distant over time, and his parents began to take more and more dangerous jobs when Ushio was but a child to make sure that they had enough money to bring him up properly. However, they couldn't leave him alone so they brought him on their missions. On the mission that Ushio became an orphan on. they were supposed to be facing wendigoes on the peaks of Mount Hakobe. In fact, they were doing surprisingly well, but there was too many of them. A little known fact about wendigoes, they always travel in packs, or live in dens with many of them in once place. It is extremely rare to find a lone wendigo as they tend to become victims of heat spirits if left alone too long. His parents, unfortunately, had the displeasure of having to clear one of the largest ones. Eventually they were both dead and Ushio was left alive, either because they didn't notice him or because they didn't see a little baby as an opponent worth attacking.

So, he lay there, slowly dying of cold, surrounded by his dead parents as he pondered the mysteries of the uni... okay, he was a baby, what do you expect he did? He was sat there crying like a newborn babe because that was almost exactly what he was. It is unknown why he was found by the last Ullr, whether it was because he was crying in an area that was almost always silent or whether it was because of the fact that around fifty wendigos were slowly freezing popsicles at this point but one way or another he was found by the god and, for yet another unknown reason, decided to adopt him as his son. Maybe he was getting old and didn't want to have to live any more, or maybe it was just out of pity, but either way he took Ushio in as his son and became a new father and master. As you can expect, his early life was extremely bizarre, mostly constructed of training, reading, admiring the beauty of the world whilst not actually doing anything in it, and having arguments with his 'dad' about why the other gods were a nuisance and really deserved to be exterminated. Eventually he became tired of the endless discussions and the loneliness that the mountain offered him and, as he turned ten, he got his father's permission to go down to the normal world and to see what it was like.

It was around this time that he stumbled into Magnolia. He had been traveling around Fiore for around six months on his own at the time and had seen quite a lot of what the world below had to offer. It was only when he bumped into an old gunman that he became truly interested in guilds, and even willingly accompanied him to his. This was the first time that he ever actually investigated fairy tail and he loved it. The passion between fellow men, the protection and love given so freely... it was perfect. Although initially treated with suspicion, he was soon a valued member of Fairy Tail which he was a member of for seven years. He was due to become the guild's ace when he finally got called back to the mountain that he had once called home. He did not know why, he had not been given much correspondence over the years with his estranged father but he decided to go anyway for old time's sake. It was unknown to him at the time that he was going to have his life changed by this meeting.

When he arrived he was attacked by his father, but he deflected the attack, refusing to attack him. He was told that since his dad was a god, the only way they could be killed was by god slayers. The only way that they could have peace was to die and to pass on, yet he couldn't just let himself die, he was too proud for that. Ushio decided that he would make the final decision and kill his father so that he could pass on. They were equal strength, battling it out until they were both exhausted, never being able to beat the other one. Finally, in a moment of desperation, he put his remaining energy into an attack that finally pierced his father and killed him. He turned into a strange white dust that flowed through the air, being breathed in by Ushio as he lay there on his knees panting in exhaustion. The scream, it is said, could be heard from down the mountain as his body morphed and changed, his mind forming into that of a god rather than a mere human. His scream continued until his voice ran raw, his body changing over hours and hours, before he finally fainted and the work continued for what seemed like days.

Finally, when he awoke, he was in a snow-drift, buried alive. Breaking out, he looked out at the grey sky filled with snow and felt.... different. There was something whispering in the back of his mind, telling him to go off the mountain. He did so and moved down to the nearest village. However, it became clear that everything around him was dying, plants turning to frozen husks, ponds freezing over and turning into death traps for the ducks swimming in it, and people running away scared from him. His still active mind caused him to react by crying but his tears turned into ice, falling to the ground and shattering. After around a month of this broke his mind, allowing him to become the true god that he was supposed to be; Cold, cruel, sadistic and ever power-hungry, willing to rip anyone apart to get what he wanted. What he wanted more than anything, though, was the complete and utter extermination of other god slayers and other gods, and so he moved closer to a god slayer that he believed would both be able to help him get his wish and, when he was finished, was weak enough to be killed by Ushio, so he alligned himself with the electric god slayer Pein and, in extension, Oracion Seis.
